Children Freediver - "Fishes”

Requirements

Brevet requirements: None and the children do not have to be scuba divers

Minimum age: 6 years (6 - 11 years)

Workshop duration: 4 days with 2 x 2 hours each day

Required equipment: mask, snorkel, normal or Apnoe fins

Maximum pool depth: 1m and no Confined or Open Water possible

Furthermore a medical diving fitness certificate is required

Description and aim of the workshop 

The aim of the workshop is to bring children in contact with the element water in a playful way and to learn how to handle and use a so called ABC-equipment (mask, snorkel, fins). 

Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will receive a certificate of attendance/certificate from the Apnoe-King Academy.

Pool Training

• Learning to swim (dry exercises outside the pool)
• Immersion in the element of water with the head or feet first
• Different swimming styles (breaststroke, frog style swimming etc.)
• Holding your breath under water for 15 seconds
• Swimming through hoops under water
• Retrieving small objects from the bottom of the pool to the surface
• Swimming with mask, snorkel and fins
