Requirements

Brevet requirements: Master Free Diver (Level 3)

Minimum age: 18 years

Workshop duration: 5 days

Required equipment: mask, snorkel, normal or Apnoe fins, watch and depth gauge or a freediver computer - for open water training a wetsuit, weight belt and weights.

Furthermore, a medical certificate of fitness for diving is required.

Description and goal of the workshop 

After completion of the training, the participant(s) will have a sound theoretical and practical knowledge of "Diving with one breath" and will be able to teach the Basic Free Diver workshop (Level 1) and the Advanced Free Diver workshop (Level 2) on behalf of the Apnoe-King Academy.

Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will receive a certificate of attendance/certificate from the Apnoe-King Academy.

Theory and practical training

Candidate evaluation is based on the following:

• Level of participation and understanding
• Standards and procedures of the Apnoe-Dive King
• Selection of a suitable dive site and its evaluation
• Practical exercises in the pool/limited open water
• Practical exercises in open water
• Assessment and handling of emergency situations/emergency equipment
• Equipment check / equipment maintenance
• Preparation and presentation of two theory lectures (10 minutes / 20 minutes)

The whole course/workshop consists of 

• 7 theory units
• 3 practical units in pool/limited open water
• 4 practical units in open water
• The certification of the candidates takes place in the form of a written and practical examination.

The theoretical knowledge should be known, as it is based on the material taught in previous workshops/diving courses.
