Requirements


Brevet Requirements: None, but participant should be able to complete a distance of 100 meters in any style of swimming without fins and drift on the surface (unassisted) for 1 minute, with hands (not arms) out of the water. Participants do not have to be scuba divers.

Minimum age: 17 years

Workshop duration: 7 days

Required equipment: mask, snorkel, normal or Apnoe fins, watch and depth gauge or a freediver computer - for possible open water training a wetsuit, weight belt and weights.


Furthermore, a medical certificate of fitness for diving is required.

Description and goal of the workshop 

Individual training programs will be worked out and created for ambitious Apnoe /sport divers who want to improve their personal performance/skills through specific coaching.

All training sessions, will be supervised and led by the instructor Chronis Chlitsios, Professor of Sport and Health Didactics at the University of Thrace in Greece. Chronis Chlitsios is also a lifeguard instructor, first aid instructor and ambitious Apnoe freediver, where he holds two world records.

A training program is created specifically for each individual Apnoe /sport diver and the respective training successes are monitored and evaluated individually. Each training program is individually designed and based on various tests and measurements such as:


  • Blood tests
  • Body fat percentage
  • Body type
  • Body weight
  • Training age
  • Biological age
  • etc.


Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will receive a certificate of attendance/certificate from the Apnoe-King Academy.

 

Theory and practical training

All performance requirements, in pool or open water, are controlled as well as coordinated and meet international safety/certification standards. The training content is individually developed and designed for each participant according to their needs and goals.
